Change an Activity Type in Camunda Modeler
Change an Activity Type From the Context Pad, you can change one Activity type to another (e.g. change a Task to a Sub-Process) or you can further specify the type of Task (e.g. Manual Task, User Task). Select the Activity you wish to change. The Context Pad will appear above the selected Activity. Click on the Change Element icon (the left-most icon on the Context Pad, that looks like a rounded rectangle overlapping a circle). The list of available Activity types will appear. Select which Activity type you wish to apply. An example of changing a Task to a Call Activity, and changing a Task to a Send Task.

Change a Data Element Type in Camunda Modeler
Change a Data Element Type From the Context Pad, you can change from one Data Element to another (e.g. change from a Data Object to a Data Store). Select the Data Element you wish to change. The Context Pad will appear above the selected Data Element. Click on the Change Element icon (the left-most icon on the Context Pad, that looks like a rounded rectangle overlapping a circle). The list of available Data Element types will appear. Select which type you wish to apply. An example of changing a Data Object to a Data Store, and changing a Data Store to a Data Object.

Select which Event type you wish to apply. An example of changing an Intermediate Event to an Intermediate Timer Event, and changing an End Event to a Message End Event.

Change a Gateway Type From the Context Pad, you can change one Gateway type to another (e.g. change an Exclusive Gateway to a Parallel Gateway). Select the Gateway you wish to change. The Context Pad will appear above the selected Gateway. Click on the Change Element icon (the left-most icon on the Context Pad, that looks like a rounded rectangle overlapping a circle). The list of available Gateway types will appear. Select which type you wish to apply. An example of changing an Exclusive Gateway to an Inclusive Gateway, and changing an Inclusive Gateway to a Parallel Gateway.

Specify a Loop in Camunda Modeler
Specify a Loop From the Context Pad, you can specify a loop on an Activity or an Expanded Sub-Process. Click on the Element you wish to specify the loop on. (Loops can be applied to Activities and Pools.) The Context Pad will appear above the selected Element. Click on the Wrench icon. Click on the Change Element icon (the left-most icon on the Context Pad, that looks like a rounded rectangle overlapping a circle). Select which Loop type you wish to apply: Parallel Multi-Instance, Sequential Multi-Instance, or Standard. An example of adding a Standard Loop to a Task, and adding a Parallel Multi-An example of specifying a Standard Loop on a task, and specifying a Parallel Multi-Instance Loop on a Task.
