Self Service Password Reset Instructions
This process will outline how to change your password using the Self Service Password Reset website reset.swinerton.com. Notes: This will NOT work for users of MACs. Please see this link for instructions when using a MAC. For this method to work, you must have previously set up at least two Authentication Contact methods with Microsoft (Multi-Factor Authentication) . You can set up, view or make changes to your authentication contact information here: https://aka.ms/MFASetup. (You probably set these up already if you have Swinerton email on your mobile device.) You can reset your password from any internet connected device, such as work/home computers or work/personal Android and Apple iOS mobile phones and tablets. It does not need to be done on your Swinerton computer. If using a Swinerton computer, it may not accept the new password to log in to your desktop until you connect to a Swinerton network. Instructions: Follow the steps below to reset your password using Self Service Password Reset: 1. Go to reset.swinerton.com and select "Swinerton User Self-service Password Reset". 2. Enter your Swinerton email address in the box asking for “User ID”. 3. Prove you are human by entering the letters from the captcha image in the bottom box. Note: This step does not require capitalization If letters are unreadable you can press the refresh icon to get a different set of letters (recommended) 4. Choose a contact method. You will get an email with a code sent to the address partially shown, or a text or call containing a 2nd code. You will need to do more than one verification method to proceed. 5. If you chose the call or text option: check for a call/text from Microsoft that will provide you with a numerical code. If you chose the email method: check your email at the address partially shown on the screen. You should have an email from msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com that contains a verification code as shown below. 6. Enter the code provided in the box shown here: 7. Repeat steps 4-6 using a different phone number or email address than the one you just used. 8. Enter your new password. and repeat to confirm the new password. Requirements for creating a new password: Minimum Length is 14 characters. Must have at least one of the following: Upper Case Letter, Lower Case Letter, and Number or Special Character (!$%# etc.). Examples: ArnoldrunningMan12, 12DaysofChristmas, B@ckTwoSquare1 are all acceptable passwords Change Frequency every 180 days. Cannot use any of the last 26 passwords. Cannot have 3 of the same character in a row. Examples: Basketballlarry1 or Heavyhammer777 20 failed attempts will lock the account for 5 minutes. This will allow for plenty of mistakes while keeping the password process more secure. Common words associated with our company are not allowed. Examples: Swinerton, Builders, Password, SRE, SOLV,12345, Timberlab, American Laminators, etc. Your name, username, or personal information cannot be used in the password. Incremental changes are no longer allowed. Example: Swinerton1 being changed to Swinerton2 or Football11 being changed to Football12 Your new password will work in all systems immediately if you are on Swinerton WiFi (SI_Users or SI_Jobsites), docking station or VPN. If you are on one of our Guest WiFi connections, simply use VPN to connect into network.

Change Password Via Office 365
It is possible to reset your Swinerton password from any internet connected device, including: Work computers Personal computers iPhones and iPads Android phones and tablets Note: You will need to log in using your current password for this process to work. If these instructions fail, please contact the Service Desk at 866-647-5200. Instructions: Follow the steps below to reset your password using Office 365. Proceed to office.com and log in with your current password. After logging in, click your initials in the top right corner, and click My account. Click Manage Security & Privacy. Click Password. You will be asked for your old password and be asked to input your new password and confirm your new password. Click Submit when finished. Requirements for creating a new password: Minimum Length is 14 characters. Must have at least one of the following: Upper Case Letter, Lower Case Letter, and Number or Special Character (!$%# etc.). Examples: ArnoldrunningMan12, 12DaysofChristmas, B@ckTwoSquare1 are all acceptable passwords Change Frequency every 180 days. Cannot use any of the last 26 passwords. Self-Service Password Reset Setup
How to Set Up Your Self-Service Password Reset Instructions: To enable the option to reset your own password you must set up two or more Authentication Contact methods which Microsoft will use to verify your identity. 1. Using Internet Explorer (Chrome will NOT work for this process) go to aka.ms/ssprsetup , you'll see the page below... 2. Click 're-enter my password' to continue, you'll see the page below... 3. Enter your main Swinerton password and click 'Sign in', you'll see the page below... (You will need to setup and verify at least two pieces of information here. Most people should already have a green check mark on the 1st option as their desk phone number.) 4. If you have at least two green check marks you are already finished! Click 'looks good' and close the browser. If not, continue to the next step... 5. You will be asked to set up a 2nd option of your choice. It can be any of the following... a. Work mobile number b. Personal mobile number c. Personal email address (non-Swinerton) d. Do not use 'Security Questions' option 6. Click the blue link next to the option you wish to verify (phone number or email address). It will look something like this... 7. This step varies depending on whether you chose phone number or email address... a. If you chose the phone number option: click 'Select your country or region' and choose United States (+1) Enter your work mobile or personal mobile number and choose 'text me' or 'call me', whichever you prefer b. If you chose the email option: enter in your non-Swinerton email address and click 'email me' 8. You will receive a call or text (if phone) or email (if email) with a numerical code. Enter that code into the provided field and click 'verify' 9. You should now have two green check marks. Once there are two it is not required to verify anything else, click 'finish' You are now set up for the Self-Service Password Reset. CRAFT - Active Directory Password Reset Procedure
Overview A Citrix version of Active Directory Administrative Center has been published to the Citrix portal for use by Craft Services to reset Craft employee passwords. Craft admins will have access ONLY to Craft users; they will not be able to reset passwords for any other accounts. Quick Steps 1. Input the domain and username into the 'User name:' field (make sure to input as SI\username) 2. Input a new password in both 'Password:' and 'Confirm password:' fields 3. Ensure the option to force a reset at next logon is enabled 4. Select the option to unlock the account, if available 5. Click 'Apply' 6. Have the end-user logon and update their password at https://mail.swinerton.com/ Full Procedure 1. Open a browser window and go to https://apps.swinerton.com/ , click 'Apps' at the top 2. Launch the Active Directory Administrative Center app (if you do not see this app you haven't been granted access) - additionally, you can click 'Details' and then 'Add to Favorites' to get a desktop icon for the app, if you'd like 3. The 'Overview' screen should load with the Reset Password tool available (if you don't see this tool, click 'Overview' on the left) 4. Input the Craft person's username in the 'User name:' field, making sure to include the Swinerton domain (formatted as SI\username) 5. Input an easy to read, unique password into both the 'Password:' and 'Confirm password:' fields - DO NOT use passwords like "Swinerton", "Builders", "Password", or any other commonly used passwords 6. Place a check mark next to "User must change password at next log on" 7. Place a check mark next to "Unlock Account" if available (if it is grayed out then the account is NOT locked) 8. Click 'Apply' 9. If an "...Access is denied" error appears then the password CAN NOT be reset by Craft Services 10. When you see the "...password reset successfully" message then move on to the next step 11. Have the user log in, using their username and new password, at https://mail.swinerton.com/ 12. The system will prompt them to enter a new password, which MUST meet the following requirements... Requirements for creating a new password: Minimum Length is 14 characters. Once the Craft user has successfully entered a new password you will want to walk them through setting up their Self-Service Password Reset options detailed here. The Craft user's password has now been reset successfully. This new password will be valid for 180 days before needing to be reset again. If you run into any issues during this process, or the Craft user continues to have problems logging in after account is reset, please contact the Service Desk for assistance.

Change Expired Admin Password (If user knows current expired Password)
Overview This document will walk you through changing your Domain Administrator account password when it expires. Prerequisites These items are required to change the admin password: User must know the current expired password. Computer being used must requires to be on the domain or connected to the VPN If user does not know current password this procedure will not work, a reset is required. Procedure From the desktop of the logged on user, press the Ctrl-Alt-Del buttons then click “Change a password” Now you will see a screen as shown below. Change the top field to your administrator account ‘SI\YourAdminAccount‘ for your username, and then fill out the ‘Old Password‘, ‘New Password‘, and ‘Confirm New Password‘ fields. Then click on the arrow or press the enter key. You should then receive a message stating you have successfully changed your password, as seen below: This completes the change password.

MAC Password Change
Notes Changing your password on a PC is entirely different with users of MACs. If a password change is done incorrectly, you will be unable to access, or see, network drives, its contents or other tasks. Steps to properly change your password on a MAC Navigate to reset.swinerton.com and select Swinerton User Self-service Password Reset Once your password is changed, go to Settings>Users & Groups or press Command+Spacebar to get to a search box, and type system settings (image 3b, below). Select the circle with the “i” to the right of your username. Press Change to change your password. Enter Old Password (Current MAC sign in password), New Password (from reset.swinerton.com), once again at the verify text box, and finally Change Password. Navigate to the Apple icon in the upper-left, and Lock Screen. Enter your new password to sign back in. Navigate to the drive, and you should be prompted to sign in. Be sure to type in SI\ before your username. Example: SI\peter.dederko You should now be able to view the contents of your Z drive. To access the Z drive, or a path in the Z drive – Navigate to Go>Connect to Server… You must type in the path, press the + sign, and save it as a favorite.
