Boomi JIP Form - Business Partner Type: Customer Error
Error Received: "Client in CMIC: Client needs to be designated as 'Business Partner Type: Customer' in CMIC"
If the error pictured below is received upon attempts to click Save and/or Submit on the Boomi JIP Form, follow these steps.:
- Confirm that the correct entity is being selected in the Client field on the Boomi JIP Form. Verify the Business Partner name and code. If it's not correct, revise your selection as needed and try saving again.
- If error persists, send an email to AP@swinerton.com (along with a screenshot of your error and the Business Partner Name/Code) to confirm that your intended Business Partner is set up appropriately as a Customer in CMIC.
- Once AP informs you that all necessary updates have been made in CMIC, close and re-open the Boomi JIP Form (or simply refresh the browser tab) if you already have the Boomi JIP Form open. If you don't already have the Boomi JIP Form open, simply navigate to the Boomi JIP Form.
- Once the Boomi JIP Form is refreshed/opened, go back to the Client field and re-select the same business partner/code that was just updated by AP.
- Click the Save button on the Boomi JIP Form. You should now no longer see the error. If you still continue to get the same error after performing all the steps listed above, submit a ticket to BTech for assistance.
