Accessing Microsoft Edge Copilot

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser.
  2. Once you have opened the browser look at the top right and you will see the Copilot icon.


Interface Overview


  • Chat Panel:
    • Once you click the Copilot icon, a side panel opens with a chat interface.
    • This interface allows you to enter prompts, questions, and requests.

  • Refresh Button (Position 1):
    • At the top of the panel, you will find a refresh button.
    • Use this button to refresh the Copilot chat if it becomes unresponsive or if you wish to start a new session.

  • Prompt Entry Section (Position 2):
    • Below the refresh button is the area where you can type your prompts, questions, or commands for Copilot.


Known Limitations

  • Certain pages, such as specific SharePoint documents, some web pages, and sections of SwinNet, may not be recognized by Copilot.
  • This behavior is expected and considered normal during the beta phase.


Troubleshooting

  • Unresponsive or Frozen Copilot:
    • If Copilot does not respond or freezes, please click the refresh button to restart the chat session.

  • General Beta Issues:
    • As Copilot is in beta, occasional interruptions or issues may occur. Your feedback is valuable in improving its performance.

  • We encourage all users to familiarize themselves with Microsoft Edge Copilot.
