Overview
- Add this step to your regular laptop routine and see your performance increase!
- Note: shutting down and starting up each day is not the same as a restart.
- BTech recommends performing a restart at least once per week to maximize computer performance and longevity.
- Not following this process can cause various issues to pop up and may significantly slow down your computer.
- Please remember to save your work before restarting to avoid losing your data.
Steps to Perform
- Click Start (Windows logo) at the bottom left.
- Click Power button
- Click Restart
- Windows 11 will Restart.

To verify that this process was successful, you can do the following:
- Right click the Taskbar
- Click Task Manager
- Select the Performance tab
- You will see your computer's Up time
- If the restart was successful, this the uptime will now be reduced to just a few minutes.

- Right click the Taskbar
