Adding and Modifying Employee Certification Records - For Workday Certification Managers
This solution demonstrates how to add employee Certification records, edit records, and remove records.
NOTE: Only users designated as Workday Certification Managers have access to perform these functions.
PART 1: Adding Employee Certification Records
STEP 1: From the Workday homepage, Search for employee's name
STEP 2: Scroll down and Click Career
STEP 3: Click Certifications tab, then click Add
STEP 4: You will see this screen.
STEP 5: Under Certification field, search for Certification you want to enter - by name, Issuer, etc.
NOTE: If you cannot find the Certification type needed, please submit a Swinerton Support ticket.
NOTE: If you need to enter more than 50 individual records of an employee Certification, please submit a Swinerton Support ticket. Swinerton Support will help you coordinate an upload of this data.
STEP 6: Enter the Issued Date
NOTE: If there is an associated expiration date for this Certification, the Expiration Date field will auto-populate. DO NOT change this date. If there is not an associated expiration date for this Certification, the Expiration Date field will remain blank. You can either leave this field blank, or add an expiration date as needed.
STEP 7: If you have attachments to add, click the down arrow next to Attachments. Click Add.
STEP 8: Click Select files. Please only attach official documents relevant to that employee's Certification (i.e., image of Certification Completion)
STEP 9: Click Submit
STEP 10: Click Done. You will now see the Certification record you added shown under the employee's Certifications tab.
PART 2: Editing Employee Certification Records
STEP 1: Under the Certifications tab, click Click Edit next to the record you wish to edit
STEP 2: Make change as needed (example: enter an Expiration Date) and click Submit
PART 3: Removing Employee Certification Records
STEP 1: To Remove a Certification, click Remove.
STEP 2: Click Submit, then Done. When you go back to the Certifications tab, the record will be gone.
