Performance - STEP 3 Manager Evaluation

No one has more immediate impact on employee engagement, productivity, and workplace satisfaction than direct managers of employees. The Development Check-In is an opportunity to impact all of these things at once!

NOTE: This step should be completed WITH THE EMPLOYEE AS PART OF THE REVIEW MEETING and not done prior to or instead of meeting with the employee.

HELPFUL TIPS:

  • Schedule an in-person one on one meeting to review and refine development check-in goals with the employee.
  • Review their self-evaluation in preparation for the meeting.
  • DO NOT complete the Manager’s section until you meet with the employee - this section is intended to be completed along with the employee.
  • If additional manager reviewers have been assigned to the evaluation, their names and comments will be visible to you.
    • If you just see their name with no comments, they have not submitted comments yet. If their comments are needed in order for you to do your evaluation, hold off until they've had a chance to enter & submit their comments.
  • If the review should be completed by another manager in your org, delegate the task by using the gear icon in the upper right area of the screen to select the “delegate task” option. Note: Additional tasks related to the Review process will also need to be delegated individually.
