I don't physically work in the location that appears on my timecard
Many overhead employees do not physically work in the location associated with the department they are charging. These employees will need to change their location on their time card EACH time they enter time.
For example: You work for Btech but you reside in Colorado. The work location that will default onto your timecard will be Concord, CA since that is where Btech is based. You will need to change your work location to Colorado on your timecard each time you enter your time. Below are specific instructions to change your work location.
STEP 1: The best method to enter your time if you need to change the work location each time you enter is the "Quick Add" option. With this option, you are entering a whole week of time and change the location for that entire week. If you use one of the other methods (Time Block or Enter Time) you will have to change the work location for each day individually.
STEP 2: Follow the instructions on the Quick Add time entry how to:

STEP 3: When you reach step 4 where the work location appears, follow the below steps to change the location
STEP 4: In the Location field click on the three dots and lines icon on the right side of the field
STEP 5: Select Locations by Hierarchy, Select the Region, then select the city.
Note: Region remains as is, it will be the Region the project is in that you are charging to.
STEP 6: Once you confirm your Location is updated to where you worked, click Next and continue to enter your time per the Quick Add Time Entry instructions.
Note: The location will need to be changed for each week worked.
