Inbox and Notifications

  • Within Workday you are provided an Inbox and you will receive Notifications that are pertinent to you and your job.  
  • NOTE: For each item in your Inbox/Notifications, you will also receive an immediate email to your Swinerton Outlook account from Swinerton Workday Workday@swinerton.com.  These settings can be changed.  Please see the last section of this solution for instructions to change these notifications.
  • Items that require action on your part, or are awaiting your approval will be sent to your Inbox.  These Action items that require your immediate attention. 
  • Notifications will provide information on actions/business processes related to your Workday profile or reports that were generated and sent directly to you. 

Inbox

STEP 1: Click on the Inbox icon in the upper right hand corner OR you can click on  the Go to Inbox in the lower left hand corner of the page




STEP 2: Review and take Actions on tasks in your Inbox.

Note: Actions tab holds all actionable items (Things you need to complete)

Note: Archive tab holds everything completed and all notifications



STEP 3: Review your Viewing options and set it up how you want to see your items

Notifications

STEP 1: Click on the Notifications icon in the upper right hand corner


Note: Notifications are non-actionable items, just informational. (Ex. Vacation request approved, HR letting you know your new photo was approved)


STEP 2: Once you have read a notification, you can click the circle to mark as read

STEP 3: Review your Viewing options and set it up how you want to see your items
