Notes:
To enter your work hours, it can be accessed by using the Worklet or using the search field by typing "enter my time."
Use this method if you are working on multiple projects or multiple phases (Use Quick time if you only have one project/one phase)
Company Holidays will auto populate in payroll
Sick Time and Vacation will have to be entered via the Time Off Worklet
From the Workday Home page click on "View All Apps" or the Menu in the upper left hand corner and locate the Time app
STEP 1: Click on Time
STEP 2: Click on Select Week
STEP 3: Click on the first day the pay period starts. (Ex. We use pay period ending 12/15/17 so the first day will be 12/01/17.
STEP 4: Click Ok
STEP 5: Click on Actions to bring up the selections
STEP 6: Click Enter Time
STEP 7: Click into the Time Type field to select your Job and Phase - There are two options here:
1. Most Recently Used - if you have already charged time to a project/phase, you can select it here.
2. Project Plan Tasks - Select your Job and Phase from the list provided
STEP 8: Enter Hours Worked on that project
STEP 9: Click the + sign to verify additional details of your time coding
STEP 10: Here you will see information that is defaulted based on your job location (for payroll tax purposes), your department (org chart) and your position.
Note: The region and Location need to match where you are physically working. These details default in based on the job/department location you are charging to. If you are physically working somewhere else, you need to change the region and the location to where you are working. Reference THIS solution for changing your location worked.
Note: If any of the details in step 8 appear incorrect, please submit a Swinerton Support Ticket. It will be routed to the proper resources to verify the information is correct.
STEP 11: Click Done
STEP 12: Click + Sign to add rows so you can enter all projects worked on that day
STEP 13: Double check that you have the right amount of hours for that day
STEP 14: Click Ok and repeat this process for all days worked that week.
STEP 15: Click Forward arrow to go to the next week (For semi monthly employees only, Weekly employees can skip to Step 18 below to submit their weekly time)
STEP 16: Enter time for that week, same as above
STEP 17: Click Forward arrow if you need to go into the next week to complete the time for that period
STEP 18: Once you have entered everything the desired period, Click Review
STEP 19: Review that you have all your hours entered, Click Submit
STEP 20: Click Submit
Note: Once you click Submit, your Approver will receive a notification to approve your time card
Note: If you realize you need to fix something, double click on that item in the calendar and modify. You will then need to Resubmit that change.
Note: Once approved, time is locked
