BIM 360 Glue: File Transmission Legal Requirements

Steps Involved: 

STEP 1: Collect all designer file transmission / BIM disclaimer forms

STEP 2: Modify the Swinerton disclaimer form specific for each subcontractor and consultant who will be utilizing the 360 Glue site

STEP 3: Send all disclaimer forms to each subcontractor for signature and return

Why this step is important: 

1. This will protect Swinerton and our Clients from unnescessary risk from subcontractors utilizing the files to estimate, fabricate and install from

Do's: 

1. Collect the required sign offs as early as possible so that file transmissions can take place as needed

Don’ts: 

1. Send or give access to electronic CAD or BIM information for any subcontractor prior to receiving their returned, executed disclaimer forms.
